Landesign won planning permission at Bulls Lodge Quarry in Essex to allow 40,000m3 of waste materials left on site by a previous tenant to be used for habitat improvement works around former silt lagoons at the quarry.
Preparations are now in progress to implement this scheme which has saved the operator a significant sum by avoiding the need to remove the illegally tipped waste to a licensed facility elsewhere.
